My Timber Pets How to Unlock Floors

A new story is extra plots. It is not income until animals and trees are on it.

How to Unlock Floors

Official My Timber Pets art sells the fantasy of a wood empire: a hexagonal island stacked three stories high, ladders between decks, mushroom trees on every pad, and red log columns glowing in the middle. The player stands in front with an axe. That screenshot is the end of the floor track, not the start. This guide is when to buy the next story so you do not own a parking garage for zero animals.

The Roblox description lists build new floors as a core pillar: expand the empire and unlock more space. Space is the keyword. Floors do not chop. Read upgrade your forest and upgrade your crew first if the ground story still has empty pads.

What a floor actually adds

From the overview thumbnail:

  • Extra hexagonal decks stacked on wood posts.
  • Ladders so you can walk up and click pads.
  • More tree plots and room for log stacks.
  • A bigger silhouette that looks good in a screenshot.

It does not automatically copy your best mushroom tree onto the new deck. It does not spawn a dinosaur-style animal. After you buy a floor you still have to plant and assign, the same loop as how to play.

If the shop label is “new floor,” “new story,” “expand upward,” or “unlock floor 2,” that is this track. If the label is “better trees,” that is forest. Do not mix them.

When to buy the next story

Buy a floor when all of these are true:

  1. Every plot on the current story has a tree.
  2. Every tree has an animal.
  3. You have at least one spare animal or a plan to roll one without leaving the new pads empty overnight.
  4. The next forest upgrade on the current story is more expensive than the floor or the current story is simply full.
  5. You are not one upgrade away from a carry cap that already freezes chopping. Fix crew first if piles are maxed.

If any of those fail, you are buying a view. The upgrades tier list ranks floors below staffed trees for that reason.

How to staff a new floor

  1. Climb the ladder. If you cannot find it, orbit the camera around the hex; official art puts ladders on the inner edges.
  2. Interact with each new pad. Plant the best tree you can afford. A cube tree on floor two is still better than a bare pad.
  3. Assign animals from storage. Commons are fine. Trophy foxes belong on the best trees, which may still be on floor one. See rare animals and best crew.
  4. Watch the global /s counter. It should rise. If it does not, the new animals are not assigned or the new trees are cosmetics.
  5. Only then walk away to AFK. An empty second story does not earn while you sleep.

Floors and the six-player server

Servers hold six players. Other people can see your tower. That is not a reason to rush floor three for clout. A one-story island with mushroom trees will out-earn a three-story skeleton. If someone in the server has the full palace, they also have the animals to staff it. Copy their staffing, not just their height.

There is no documented shared-floor co-op. You cannot send your chicken to a friend’s deck. Invite friends to the official place if you want company, but upgrades stay on your plot.

Cost spikes

Idle tycoons usually make each story cost a jump in logs: tens, then thousands, then the Q-scale numbers on the late-game thumbnail. If floor two costs more than several forest upgrades that would raise /s now, buy forest. Come back to the floor when AFK has printed the difference. The progress checklist has a box for “current story full” so you do not guess.

Do not spend a code reward on a floor you cannot staff. Put coded logs into trees or crew, then save naturally for the story.

More floors mean more parts. On mobile, drop graphics if the ladder climb stutters. You do not need to stare at floor three for the animals to chop; that is the point of idle. If a floor is so laggy that you cannot assign pets, temporarily hide cosmetics in settings if the game offers that, then assign, then AFK.

Falling off the hex dumps you in the water. Swim or reset character. Your animals should keep working; you just wasted a minute.

Floor three is a goal, not a tutorial

The three-story shot is useful as a north star. It is not a day-one quest. The Tutorial Completed badge only proves you learned to chop. Floors are a mid-game sink. If a patch adds floor four, the same staffing rule applies: no empty palaces.

When every story you own is planted and assigned, you have unlocked floors the way the game intends. Until then you have unlocked a ladder.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for My Timber Pets on Roblox.

How many floors are in My Timber Pets?

Official art shows at least three stacked hexagonal stories. Buy them only when the current story is staffed. Patches may add more; check updates.

Why did my income not rise after a new floor?

The pads are empty. Plant trees and assign animals. How to play covers assignment.

Can friends build on my floors?

No documented shared plot exists. Six players share a server, not a single empire.

Should codes buy floors?

Only if you can staff the story the same session. Otherwise spend on forest or crew.
