How to Farm AFK in My Timber Pets

My Timber Pets is advertised as an idle tycoon: animals keep chopping and earning while you are AFK. That sentence is the whole pitch. It is also the easiest thing to break. If you leave the island with no animal on a tree, you earn nothing. If you leave with a new floor full of empty mushroom pads, you paid logs for decoration. This guide is the AFK setup, not a click macro.

If you have not staffed the first tree, stop here and open Getting Started. AFK is a multiplier on a working island, not a substitute for the how to play loop.

What “AFK” means in this game

There are two layers:

1. Client open, you not touching it. Animals path, chop, and stack logs on the live server. This is the classic Roblox idle. Keep the app from sleeping on mobile. On desktop, do not let the machine hibernate.
2. Client closed. The official description says animals keep earning while you are away. Treat offline earnings as real but possibly capped. Rejoin, spend the pile, re-assign if a patch reset a slot, then leave again.

Until WingBrain publishes a hard offline cap, assume there is one. Idle tycoons almost always clamp hours so a three-day disconnect does not print a three-story island. Check your log counter after a long break. If it looks like a few hours of 1/s instead of 48 hours, you hit a cap. Spend what you got and restaff.

Pre-AFK checklist

Run this every time you walk away:

1. Every owned tree has an animal. Open the collection if a slot looks empty.
2. Carry is not full. If animals are frozen next to a max pile, buy the next crew carry upgrade or spend logs until the pile drops.
3. The next forest upgrade is either bought or clearly too expensive. Do not leave a shop button flashing if you can afford a tree that raises /s.
4. New floors are either staffed or not purchased. An unstaffed story is a leak.
5. You are not in the middle of a tutorial prompt. A stuck overlay can pause chopping.
6. You are on the official place ID 111035930019117, not a copycat.

Optional: pop a timed boost from a code only if you will stay in the session or if the boost is described as offline-friendly. A five-minute luck boost is wasted on a closed client.

How to build an island that idles well

Early island: one chicken, one cube tree, 1/s. AFK value is tiny but not zero. The goal of the first evening is to raise that rate so an hour away buys the next tree. Buy forest before floors.

Mid island: several mushroom trees, a mix of commons and one stronger animal. AFK value is “I can check once per homework block.” Keep the strongest animals on the best trees. Use the animal tier list if you are guessing.

Late island (as shown in official art): stacked hexagonal floors, mushroom canopy, dinosaur-style earner, 45Q/s on the thumbnail. AFK value is the entire game. Your only job is not to break staffing when you buy another floor.

Mobile AFK notes

• Disable battery saver for Roblox or the process will freeze.
• Plug in. A six-player tycoon with extra floors still ticks parts.
• Use a stand so you do not tap the roll button with your face.
• If Roblox backgrounds hard on iOS, treat it as offline earnings and rejoin later. Do not fight the OS with random “AFK tools.”

Desktop is more stable. A second monitor is enough. You do not need a virtual machine.

What not to use for AFK

Do not install an auto-clicker that taps the roll button all night. Rolls are already unlimited; spamming them while you sleep can replace a good crew with junk if the game auto-equips. Do not download a Timber auto-farm from another Roblox lumber game. The scripts hub had no dedicated My Timber Pets script listed on 1 Sep 2026. A script written for Timber! looks for plots and axes that this island does not use. Read script safety before you paste anything.

Do not leave a trade window open with a stranger. Six-player servers are small enough for someone to stand at your plot and social-engineer a fox.

After you come back

1. Claim or spend the log pile so you are not at a cap.
2. Re-check assignments. Patches can unequip pets.
3. Buy one planned upgrade from the upgrades tier list, not a panic floor.
4. If a rare showed up in a roll you forgot about, compare it on the animal index before it sits in storage.
5. If income looks wrong, rejoin once. Idle remotes sometimes need a fresh session.

If an overnight earn is less than one meaningful upgrade, your rate is still in the 1/s neighborhood. Stay in the session a bit longer, buy the next tree, then AFK again. Idle games reward a staffed island, not a longer disconnect.

When you can leave for a few hours and come back to a shop button you can actually press, the AFK loop is working. Everything after that is rare animals and not buying empty space.
